Carolina Herrera Wedding Dress For Sale

After a year I am finally ready to part with my amazingly beautiful Carolina Herrera wedding dress.  We just moved into our new house and there just isn't room for it.  I would love to see a stunning bride walk down the aisle in it instead of it just collecting dust in my closet.

If you have any family or friends getting married soon and think they might be interested send them this link.

Two Years Too Late

I am pretty much smitten with Anthropologie.  Too bad my bank account begs to differ.  I really don't shop there too much because it is just way too over my price range for my everyday wardrobe.  I do shop there for special occasions like last year when I picked up some cute little dresses for all our wedding festivities.  If I could I would wear Anthropologie every day.  I love the casual boho chic looks they put together and their whole line is so dreamy I can barely deal with it.

My Mom just got me some adorable clips last weekend and that pretty much made my month.

Now I hear that Anthropologie is jumping into the wedding world?  Why!  Two years too late my friends!  Their new bridal line will launch Spring 2011 and will include everything from fashions for bridesmaids along with jewelry, shoes and other accessories.  Outside of fashion, invitations, bridal registry gifts, flowers, travel and wedding planning services are all possibilities to be included in the new brand as well.

Now you all know I wouldn't have traded my Carolina Herrera dress for the world.  Only this new Anthropogie brand would have sure been fun just to play around with if nothing else!

I'm Not Over It

Some of you might remember my earlier post about I'm Over It and the amazing wedding jewelry I am renting for my wedding...

I just got a box today and inside was the necklace, earrings and bracelet that I rented all for under $100 including shipping both ways.

Some people might not understand why I made the decision to rent instead of buy. Once I chose my dress I started looking at jewelry and it seemed like everything in my budget was so...cheap! I didn't want to wear cheap tacky jewelry with my beautiful wedding dress.

I heard about I'm Over It and I was sold! I love the idea that I get to have beautiful jewelry without the huge price tag.

My jewelry is so pretty! I can't believe how amazing it looks in person. The necklace is so cute I just want to wear it every day with a white t shirt and jeans! That is...if my jeans actually fit...which they don't. Time to buy some maternity jeans...

I can't wait to try on my wedding jewelry tomorrow at my dress fitting!

The I'm Over It box came complete with return shipping label so all I have to do is put it in the mail the day after the wedding! I did the 14 day rental so I could make sure I had everything in time. I also got a great email from the company telling me the jewelry was on it's way. Great customer service and product...I am more sold now than I was before!

New Collections Hit Paris

Elie Saab unveiled his new collection in Paris today and proved that fantasy brides are here to stay.

His collection featured gowns covered in all kinds of bling...sequins, beads and more.

Even French actress Melanie Laurent said she was checking out some gowns for possible red carpet appearances.

According to writer Jenny Barchfield, "Saab's collection was heavier on the frou-frou — bubbling over with wispy ostrich feathers, fluttering silk flowers and baubles..."

I am just happy to hear that the new economy hasn't crushed creativity for future recession brides. Seriously...I know we need to be cautious, not overspend and be reasonable with our weddings only we can have some fun too! We have waited just as long as everyone else to get married so let's have fun...sure save money and cut corners where you can only we all deserve to have the day we have dreamed about.

If one more person tells me...how wasteful I am being, how rude we are being for having a destination wedding or how much our wedding is making them angry...I might just have to really show them the definition of bridezilla.

Spanish Dreams

Spain is one of those places I know I would love. I have never been there only I always find myself totally inspired by the Spanish food, architecture, fashion and wine.

I love the simple elegance of these dresses and the headpieces...although probably unrealistic are so dreamy and lacy wonderful.
The dresses are designed by Madrid based Belen Barbara of Beba's Closet.

Even more amazing...her dresses use reclaimed materials!

I am going to go get a glass of Rioja and pretend I am in Spain for the night.

Thank you to She Breathes Fashion and Culture for the inspiration.
