Fresh Sign In Book Idea

I love our wedding planner...she is pretty much just amazing. Her fun new idea for a sign in book? My fiance calls it the "yearbook style" and I call it totally fun.

The idea is to find a book of photography or a coffee table book that you love and have people pick a page they like and sign on the page in the margin. What I think is so cool about this idea is then we get a sign in book that we love and that will actually be displayed in our house...instead of just getting put in a drawer with our other "keepsakes." I like the idea of having something usable.

We decided we are going to shop for a fun book about San Diego since that is where we are getting married. We are headed down in three weeks so we will shop for a "souvenier" that doubles as our sign in book.

See the books displayed in this chic living room...love the idea that our book will always be out. Thank you to D Magazine for this living room picture. You know I love the milk glass...further proof that all my milk glass can be displayed in a funky cool way.

This idea is great! I think if the FFG and I could find a book of pictures of Cleveland and have people sign it, it'd be awesome... then no matter where we'd live, we'd always have something special from/about home.

Using your idea as a springboard, how about getting an empty photo album and having them each write something in the margin of one sleeve? Have a friend man the table with a digital camera, snap a shot of each person/family who signs, and then put the photos in the corresponding sleeves yourselves later, after you've had time to take them to Target and get them developed?

I love the book idea. Just to throw out another option, you could make your own book using blurb with photos, notes, cards, tickets, or other keepsakes special to the two of you. Then it'd be even more personalized. =)

PS: I tagged you!
